Shanghai Tower is located in the core area of Lujiazui Financial and Trade Zone in Pudong, Shanghai. The main building is 632 meters high, with 121 floors above ground and 5 floors underground, with a total construction area of 576,000 square meters. It is an integrated super giant landmark skyscraper and is currently the tallest building in China.

The Shanghai Tower was designed by Gensler Architects. It integrates China's natural environment and cultural heritage, and reinterprets the rich connotation of Shanghai, a traditional city, in a vertical form. The unique and beautiful "dragon-shaped" streamlined glass crystal not only inherits traditional culture, but also reflects the vigorous vitality of modern China. At the same time, Vtecklite provides DALI control system, which relieves a lot of pressure on the intelligent lighting of the whole building and provides comfortable lighting and atmosphere for each floor.

As the final piece of the super high-rise building complex in the core area of Lujiazui, "Shanghai Tower" has become an important carrier of Shanghai's financial service industry. At the same time, it has also played an important role in optimizing the overall planning of the Lujiazui area, improving the urban space, enhancing the comprehensive supporting functions of the Shanghai financial center, and promoting the agglomeration of modern service industries.

The BPI team was deeply involved in this super project, not only the exterior lighting, but also the many public spaces, sightseeing floors and even the interior of the J Hotel. It is worth mentioning that in the landscape improvement on both sides of the Huangpu River that began in 2017, bpi has also optimized and upgraded Shanghai Tower, adding a brilliance system to the tower body, so that Shanghai Center and the city can breathe together and increase its charm.

There are more than 2,000 square meters of large screens and LED dot matrix lights in the tower crown of Shanghai Center, and lighting accessories are also installed on the outer walls of the nine major areas of the building, which can temporarily or permanently set special lighting scenes.

The Shanghai Tower will create four types of light shows, corresponding to weekdays, weekends, holidays and special performances. It also echoes the landscape lights of the Bund, Pudong and Puxi buildings, and regularly displays landmark light shows. After its completion, the Shanghai Center naturally became the new symbol of Shanghai.
